How do I wash my make-up brushes?
It is strongly advised that you keep your make-up brushes/tools clean at all time especially if you use them on a daily basis
Eye infections, skin irritations and break-outs can happen as a result of unclean brushes as bacteria tend to get accumulated in their bristles. Dirty brushes can also change the original colour of an eye shadow so you end up with a mixture of your previous eye shadow and the current one.
To clean your brushes, run brushes under warm water to soften the bristles. Next, grab an anti-bacterial liquid soap or shampoo and apply to the bristles of your brush. Work up a light lather and proceed to rinse under warm tap water. Repeat step until there is no trace of make-up residue after washing the brush. Allow brushes to air dry and if possible, dry brushes with bristles facing down using brush guards. This is to allow water to flow out of the brushes. Alternatively, you could also lay brushes flat on a towel to dry.
