(Relaxnews) - Pink has been named Cover Girl's newest spokeswoman and is set to appear in the beauty brand's print advertising campaign for Fall.
The singer, known for her feisty song lyrics and edgy style, brings a touch of attitude to the current Cover Girl lineup -- which includes country star Taylor Swift, television personality Ellen DeGeneres and actress Sofia Vergara.
"Joining a group of women who have always inspired me -- to laugh out loud, let my guard down, or play around with my beauty look -- is such an honor," the musician enthused in a release. "I have a lot to celebrate. I called my new album The Truth About Love, and the truth is that I have my beautiful family and baby girl, my new music and now my partnership with CoverGirl to love."
Styled by Cover Girl's global creative design director Pat McGrath, Pink's campaign has been designed to explore beauty with an edge. The ads are set to launch in November magazine editions. It has also been announced that Pink will be promoting a "bold new mascara innovation", although more news on this is yet to be revealed.
Pink has come a long way since her days of gothic-inspired eyes and bright neon pink hair dye. Don't remember how the singer looked like in the early 90s? Click next for speedy flashback to the time before Pink was chic to now, CoverGirl ambassador.
