Dorothy Perkins SS12

Pretty pastels dominate the season at Dorothy Perkins for Spring Summer 2012.

The sports luxe trend makes a return with a feminine edge. This new generation sporty look uses clean, colour blocked tailored separates mixed with bold primary accents.

Mixed metallics are a must-have for this season's take on safari where animal print denim, sheer knits and summer parkas are all must-have staples. Tailoring takes a walk on the wild side and is updated in snake print fabrics for glam traveller chic.

Sequin embellishment and rich fabrics sit with soft biker jackets and coloured denim, to give a modern twist to occasionwear. Embroidered mesh, cotton lace and crochet trims are key to add texture against painterly garden florals.

Ushering a new direction in sportswear, Surf Luxe brings opulent fabrics and 90's shapes to SS12. Contrasting colours and top-to-toe tonal dressing mix acid brights with pastel shades.

Print leads the way in South Pacific: a highbred of contrasting kaleidoscopic baroque borders, animal prints and high octane hibiscus florals are all brought together in a palette of brights.

Warlocks and folk inspired fairly tales creep through in this softer summer trend. Incorporating festival stylings and anglicized spirits, Spring Equinox focuses on craft detailing.

A meeting of all the world's tribes, Native morphs all influences in conversational bold prints such as exaggerated Aztec and Native-American.

Miss Selfridge SS12 Collection

Chalky pastels and washed out neons set the tone for the season where oh so pretty 1920's influences of dropped hems and pyjama styles are contrasted against bold symmetrical prints.

Prints define the season like a magical kaleidoscope, designed in-house from dip dye, Hawaiian floral to abstract digital. Colour blocking has evolved into harmonious shades of one colour family creating a strong statement.

Whimsical silhouettes on floor length dresses and backless floaty playsuits are contrasted against sports luxe inspired designs, as part of the 90's revival, softened with prints in candy colours.

The 1960's continue as an evolving trend - A-line shifts, shell tops, cropped pants and A-line skirts are updated with pretty summer pastels. Fluid fabrics are key and meant to be sheer - style with vintage slips and statement underwear.

Balenciaga Spring Summer 2012 Collection

For the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show, Nicolas Ghesquière has kept some of the key elements of the last precollection, which he has revisited in terms of silhouette, volume, build, color and material.
Each look is composed of "separate" pieces. Each item of clothing has been designed and made individually, allowing for many combinations.
The transverse character of this collection means it is possible to elaborate on clothes with strong style while also allowing freedom to mix and match.

Mont Blanc Cutting Edge Art Collection (© Mont Blanc Cutting Edge Art Collection)

Mont Blanc Cutting Edge Art Collection
The engagement with the arts and artists has been embedded in Montblanc's corporate philosophy for a long time. In regard to this, Montblanc began to build a contemporary art collection ten years ago.

The works from the collection are displayed in the entire cooperation's facilities: offices, hallways, the production department and, of course, in the newly designed foyer at the headquarters in Hamburg. Regular tours are offered and guided by artists and art historians for the employees, which is keeping the art on display alive. In 1998, Montblanc started negotiations with artists and galleries and in 2002 Montblanc presented the first work by US artist Tom Sachs. Sachs considered it as a challenge to interpret the Montblac star, the emblem of the long-established company, and create the first commissioned work.

Since then, the collection expanded to 160 unique artworks including works by Thomas Demand, Liam Gillick, Jonathan Meese, Sylvie Fleury, Jorge Pardo, Ugo Rondinone, Michel Majerus, Lijun Fang. Many of the artists were considered as Cutting Edge at the time they were commissioned - in other words, just at the edge of becoming well known. Today, they claim international recognition and continue a close relationship with the company.
To view the brand through the eyes of internationally renowned artists and with that also perceive it undergo a contemporary interpretation is a privilege Montblanc is enjoying to get new impulses for their own work. The collection is also accessible to the public with guided tours.

Coach (© Coach)

Coach Summer Spring 2012 Collection
MENS Collection

Inspired by iconic styles in the company archives, Coach Men's has revived decades-old logos, made use of traditional artisanal techniques like hand-burnishing, and reincorporated the internal "hanging pockets" found in our unlined men's business bags throughout the 1960s and 1970s. All men's leather ware is designed to express the true nature of the particular leather employed in its construction.
Like all Coach products, our new men's arrivals are made the same way Coach products were made when the company was a family-run workshop of six leather artisans: by hand, one at a time, with great care and custom hardware. Although the key Coach Men's collections for spring, Bleecker Legacy and Crosby, represent a new approach to modern men's design, they also embody our steadfast commitment to traditional leatherworking techniques, passed down from generation to generation.

Canali (© Canali)

CANALI Spring Summer 2012

The Spring Summer 2012 collection is animated by a new spirit that springs from an increasingly free and uninhibited sense of style and elegance, brimming with references to other cultures, but without loosing its deeply Italian personality.

The suit becomes a means of personal expression, a quest for fine detailing and style that venture beyond strict, impersonal rules, no longer de rigeur exclusively for business, but also a point of reference on your own time.
Jackets are shorter and hug the waist, shoulders are even softer and lapels are higher and narrower in the most metropolitan lines. Narrow trousers for suits are softer and wider when worn with separate jackets, especially the Kei, which is presented for the first time in a double-breasted six-button version, or the new Nawab five-button version with Korean collar.

As always the fabrics are made from the finest natural fibres: silk, the undisputed protagonist of the entire collection, linen, wool - often combined with the previous two - and cotton.
Sophisticated, bold patterns, from geometrical and floral micro patterns, to tone on tone stripes and large modern checks. Particularly interesting are the impressive Mandala inspired designs, produced exclusively for Canali, and the elaborate embroidery applied by hand to the Nawab evening jackets.

The colour palette is bright and full, particularly for silks - fuchsia, emerald green, turquoise, orange, red and pink - set off against the "all white" and pearl grey of the other natural fibres, particularly linen.

Bernard (© Bernard)

BERNARD SS12 Collection

This season, Bernard Chandran dazzles the new Spring Summer collection, inspired by the 1950's era with his own interpretation and creation.

The curves though revoke the fifties; remarkably the designs are brought into modern era, a signature that clearly reflects the innate ability of the designer. Look out for the new innovations including the cocoon pleasted peg top skirt, the shirt dress, body suit and the new refinements in the cut work evident espicially in the jackets.

Admist all, the designs may be strctured but one is ummediately surprised by the lightness and fluidity of the clothes.

Overall the designs redefined the art of wearing the fifties into the contemporary.

Hermes (© Hermes)

Sand dunes kissing the waves, a wind-washed sky, the outline of an anchor chain imprinted on the shoreline: thename Cape Cod instantly conjures up a iodine-rich picture-postcard setting exuding ultra-sporty elegance. For Hermès, it is a model pervaded by a maritime spirit inspired by the link of the famous "Anchor chain" bracelet, an iconic piece of jewellery for the House. This year, the large men's model opts for the refinement of pewter grey - a deep hue expressed in graded shades on the dial, running from the lighter guilloché central square rimmed with a minute track, through to the delightfully contrasting soft half-shade surrounding the applied rhodium-plated hour-markers. This sophisticated pewter grey colour also extends over the smooth calfskin strap which makes a perfect match with the dial. Strap, case and dial thereby combine to compose an elegantly impromptu monochrome motif.

We are pleased to introduce to you the Hermes Cape Cod 2012 timepieces, and the collection will make its debut at the Baselworld 2012.
