The fabulous journey for ten finalists of Maybelline New York Simply Fabulous finally came to an end with one girl, Nalinder Manoharan, rising above the rest. To boot, she won RM 10,000 in cash sponsorship and RM 50,000 worth of sponsored products to realise her dream. And of course, the opportunity to fly to New York for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience New York Fashion Week.
Held at Euphoria, Sunway Lagoon Resort, the stellar bash was hosted by Sarah Lian and Henry Golding. Tons of friends, family and supporters turned up to show their support.
The judges consisting of Maybelline New York trainer and makeup artist, Kimberley Foo, actress and TV host, Sazzy Falak, celebrity stylist, Stevensunny and McCann Worldgroup Strategic Planning Director, Abhinav Sharma were charmed by Nalinder’s confidence and youthful aura.
The ten finalists who came from various backgrounds were chosen after a tough series of auditions. Once shortlisted, the girls had to take on challenges which tested their grooming, fashion sense, social skills and the ability to communicate and sell their dreams. But the girls sure didn’t have it easy. Amid all the drama, they had to work at creating their own fan base through online networks such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and their personal blogs to encourage their fans to vote for them.
Maybelline New York Simply Fabulous which is 8TV’s very first online reality show has provided a platform for the contestants to explore their potentials and achieve greater heights.
