Following on from their popularity in Singapore, Fabulous Tan has popped over this part of the Johor Straits to become Malaysia’s first indoor tanning studio. Word has gotten around and advance booking has to be made which is surprising considering the number of new whitening products that continue to find shelf space everyday. Thanks to Hollywood, the perception of a tan has changed and people are queuing up to get that golden, sun-kissed glow. Before your first session, a consultant will guide you through a consent form, give you general information about tanning, explain the tanning process and show you how to use the bed. There are a range of lotions that you can use to speed up the tanning process or deepen the tan and most importantly, to shield you from the UV rays. There are also the essential eye goggles to ensure that your eyes are protected throughout the process.
Fabulous Tan offers two types of beds - one for darker skin (Enjoymix), and one for people with fairer skin and first timers (Holiday 50). These machines look like mini space shuttles and come with built in stereo so that you can listen to music and even bring your own selection of tracks while you tan. There is also a special inbuilt air ventilation system to keep you cool.
Now there is no more need to sit for hours sweltering in the sun to get that tan that you desire as it can now take between five and 10 minutes in a safe and controlled environment.

The session itself is extremely relaxing and you can almost imagine lying in the sun and drifting off into a daydream. Best part of the experience is instantaneous results. This left Flora feeling calm, confident and glowing – the perfect pampering experience. It's ideal for those who don’t have the chance and are too busy to go on holiday to give them that healthy and relaxed ‘just got back from the beach’ look.
