An interview with Face Factors Clinic in Kuala Lumpur
What's it like having Botox and fillers done? Is it safe?
At Face Factors Clinic, we offer patients a clean, comfortable environment to have their procedures done. All procedures are done with utmost sterility. When patients come to our clinic for Botox or fillers, we usually offer them a quick facial to have their make-up removed or they can choose to keep their make-up on. The procedures are usually done lying down and the area to be treated is cleaned with a sterile swab. With Botox, there are trained injection techniques depending on the area to be treated. It involves multiple small intramuscular injections, which are relatively painless and this is quick and effective - which is why it's usually considered a lunchtime procedure. With fillers, they are injected into the dermal layer of the skin. Most current fillers are combined with local anesthesia, so they are also relatively painless and quick. The effects of Botox can usually be seen after 36 hours; however with fillers, results can be seen immediately. However, with both procedures, patients should be advised regarding short term swelling, redness and occasionally, bruising.
