If you ever thought the idea of a DIY wedding was impossible, wait til you get hear what newlyweds Brenda & Wazir did for their wedding - from DIY decorations and photobooth props to the cake and bridal party corsages. Now, this wedding holds a little dearer to yours truly, as the bride is a childhood friend (coming to 20 years now!) and I had the honour of being in her bridal party too. I remember the day she told me she met Wazir, and it was the sort of love story that truly amalgamated culture and religion.

As such, there were many celebrations and cultural ceremonies, but the garden reception's DIY process was not without the help of many - from old school friends (which served as a reunion of sorts!) to family gatherings. Her bridal shower/bachelorette party was a tea party segued into DIY session! (The first of many, in fact!)
